Casper Gets a Cross-Chain Bridge for Tokenized Real-World Assets as MAKE Group Launches AstralBeam

MAKE Group has launched AstralBeam, a cross-chain bridge connecting the Casper blockchain to Robinhood Chain, Base, Ethereum and Polygon, aimed at letting tokenized real-world assets move between networks without losing the compliance rules attached to them. The bridge went live in public testnet on Monday, following six months of internal testing and a multi-round security audit from Halborn Security.

The launch lands at a moment when tokenized securities are gaining real traction. More than $32 billion in assets have been tokenized under ERC-3643, the compliance standard used across regulated finance, and asset servicer Apex Group, which manages $3.5 trillion in assets, has committed to bringing $100 billion in tokenized assets onto the T-REX Ledger by 2027. Tokenized stocks already trade around the clock on Robinhood Chain.

That growth has exposed a gap: regulated tokenized securities carry restrictions on who can hold them and where, and most cross-chain bridges aren't built to preserve those rules once a token leaves its native network. AstralBeam is designed to close that gap for Casper. Tokenized shares of companies like Netflix, SpaceX and Amazon, along with tokenized gold and silver, can move out of brokerage environments and into Casper-based DeFi, where they could serve as collateral or sit in real-world-asset vaults.

The bridge also builds in a messaging layer aligned with ERC-7786, the same interoperability standard the T-REX Network, the compliance infrastructure backing tokenized securities across the industry, is adopting. MAKE Group says that shared standard sets up an easier path to eventually connect Casper directly to T-REX, including possible distribution of regulated assets through T-REX Lite deployments.

"Interoperability between regulated asset networks will increasingly depend on open standards rather than bespoke integrations," said Joachim Lebrun, CTO and co-founder of T-REX Network. He added that AstralBeam's alignment with ERC-7786 "creates a strong technical foundation for future interoperability" and could make future T-REX Lite deployments on Casper significantly easier.

On security, AstralBeam uses a five-node verifier system rather than a single trusted operator. Transfers only go through once at least three of the five nodes independently confirm the transaction on its source chain, with that threshold enforced by smart contracts rather than by MAKE Group itself, an attempt to avoid the single-point-of-failure design that has been behind many past bridge hacks.

AstralBeam's testnet is live now at astralbeam.io and open to the public, with a mainnet launch expected to follow. Developer documentation is available at docs.astralbeam.io.

MAKE Group, founded in 2016, is the firm behind core Casper ecosystem infrastructure including its wallet and block explorer, and also works in applied AI and public health technology, where its tools are used by eight of the world's ten largest pharmaceutical companies.
