Seasonal promos usually lean on tricks. This one is mostly treats.
Crypto promos are a crowded field. Newcomers get bonus miners, loyal users get cashback, someone always announces a prize pool with a lot of zeros, and a few projects hide airdrops inside hashrate contracts. Standing out takes more than a bigger number.
CryptoTab’s answer this October is a boss fight, which is not a sentence we expected to write about a mining promo. Halloween Hunt runs for 28 days: from October 12 to November 8, across CT Pool, CT Browser and CT Farm.
You play the last member of an old Order of Hunters. The Order sealed its monsters away long ago, but the seal fails every Halloween and they come back. Your job is to hunt them across three haunted locations, collect prizes on the way, and decide which ones to destroy and which to save.
The prizes are what crypto enthusiasts will care about: miners up to 25,200,000 H/s, boosts up to x30, and up to 2,500,000 HSH in bonuses. Each prize keeps running for its full term after the promo ends. To join, log in on the Halloween Hunt page.
One account, one pumpkin economy
The Hunt runs on your CryptoTab account, so a purchase in any of the three apps counts, and your progress follows you between phone and desktop.
Every qualifying purchase earns Pump-Bombs — the ammo you spend on monsters. The rate is fixed: $1 = 100 Pump-Bombs.
-
CT Pool is cloud mining without hardware. The work happens on CryptoTab’s servers, so your phone stays cool.
-
CT Browser is a Chromium browser with mining built in. Cloud.Boost multiplies your base speed, and a 12-month, 500 kH/s boost earns roughly 22,220 Pump-Bombs.
-
CT Farm and CT Farm PRO let you run a farm from your phone. A 12-month, 300 kH/s Worker earns about 8,360 Pump-Bombs. A 6-month, 160 kH/s Worker costs around $32 and earns over 3,000.
There are two catches. Purchases made before October 12 don’t count. And while Pump-Bombs pile up as soon as you buy, your balance only shows once you’ve joined on the landing page.

What does that buy?
By the promo’s own math, defeating every monster in the Witch Forest takes about $30 worth of Pump-Bombs (3,000), and the Castle about $250 (25,000). Most of the free action happens in CT Pool, so it’s a natural starting point.
Spells, HSH and the choice after the fight
Pump-Bombs only cover the fighting. But there is also another currency — Spells. Once a monster is down, you can spend them to finish it off or to save it. The step is optional. It costs 10 Spells at a mini-boss and 20 at a final boss, and it pays another guaranteed prize: a multiplier of x25 to x30, plus some HSH — the promo’s bonus currency. It lands on your bonus balance, and it isn’t the same thing as hashrate.
Spells are free to earn through Tarot cards and Quests.
The monsters
There are three locations, played in order. Each has three mini-bosses and a final boss.
A mini-boss goes down in two paid hits, a final boss in three, plus one free dodge where it slips away and costs you nothing. Every paid hit comes with a guaranteed prize. Once a monster falls, you also get a free claim, always a mining reward.
-
Witch Forest is open from day one. Fight the Scarecrow, the Ent Tree and the Witch’s Coven before you face the Witch herself.
-
Dracula’s Castle opens once the Witch is down. Get past the Catacomb Werewolf, Dracula’s Bride and Frankenstein to reach Count Dracula.
-
The Cemetery opens after Dracula falls, and it’s where the numbers jump. The Zombie, the Bone Keeper and the Weeping Banshee guard the Headless Horseman. His free claim is a CT Pool miner at 25,200,000 H/s for a month, and the Banshee’s is a 5,500,000 H/s Worker.
Not every monster is a villain. Some are victims of the old seal, and after each fight you choose: finish it, or set it free.
There’s also a shared HSH Jackpot. Every paid hit in the Forest and the Castle adds 1% to it, and it’s drawn among 10 winners after the promo ends. Defeat the Scarecrow and you’re entered.
Tarot: the wildcard
Every five ads you watch in CT Pool earns one Tarot card, up to three a day. Open the card screen and you’ll see three face-down cards. Pick any one; the other two stay closed, and it makes no difference which you choose.
Your first two cards are guaranteed to pay 25 and 20 Pump-Bombs, so you can start swinging without spending a cent. After that, each card hides one of six outcomes:
-
The Tower: Pump-Bombs
-
The Magician: Spells
-
Wheel of Fortune: a multiplier of up to x20 on your next CT Pool purchase
-
The Hermit: a CT Pool miner, 1,000,000 H/s for three months or 500,000 H/s for six (rare)
-
The Sun: 100,000 HSH (rare)
-
Judgement: one more card
Cards and the Weekly Giveaway both live in the Hunter’s Lodge and run off the same ad counter, so one view feeds both. The Giveaway rules are simple. Watch five ads every day, Monday to Sunday UTC, with no gaps.
Each week, 100 winners are drawn through a smart contract and get a 1,000 kH/s CT Pool miner for five days. If you join mid-week, the earlier days are credited automatically. If you miss a day, you only drop out of that week’s draw. And if ads won’t load, turn off your ad blocker or switch networks.
Three ways to play it smart
-
Make CT Pool your base. It doesn’t earn more Pump-Bombs than the other apps, since the rate is $1 = 100 everywhere. But it’s the only place to watch ads for Tarot and the Giveaway, and the multipliers you win apply to CT Pool purchases.
-
Join first, then buy big. Pump-Bombs pile up either way, but progress on the “Buy 5” and “Buy 10 miners” quests, and on the “all six durations” quest (3, 6, 12, 18, 24 and 36 months), only counts purchases made after you join.
-
Do the free quests on day one. The email sign-up pays 85 Pump-Bombs and 8 Spells, and the short survey pays 165 and 15. The “buy N miners” chain pays a share of your biggest purchases at the moment you finish it, so bigger buys first means bigger payouts.
Before you dive in
Pump-Bombs and Spells aren’t real money and can’t be exchanged for fiat. Spending on purchases is the cost of playing, not an investment with a guaranteed return. Prize miners run for fixed terms and then stop. The organizer may also restrict some mechanics, mainly the ad-based ones, in certain countries.
Final word
Halloween Hunt is a game, but the rewards underneath are real hashrate. The sensible route is simple: buy in CT Pool, knock out the quests, watch the ads, and take your swings. The Forest is open, and the Scarecrow is waiting.
